I'm often asked for a selection of photos that represent my style of photography.  The truth is that every wedding, every event is different but my style is always candid and always searching for photos that capture emotion, fun and the energy in a couple's special day.

The easiest way to describe my photography is that I build up a unique picture of your day featuring images you're either in or those that you've planned.  The day is filled equally across the day, right from the preparation to the ceremony itself and then onto the evening.  By working with my second photographer we are able to capture both the bridal and Groomsmen preparation in an unhurried manner to achieve a balanced album of images.  I find that wedding photography is a mix of styles all captured in one day such as fashion during the bridal preparation, Candid photography through the ceremony, portrait with your family and friends and finishing with performance style photography of your your reception and first dance.  Each of these styles is a particular type of photogarphy that is evident in the final images of your day to give a balanced fun and natural record of your day.

My approach? I understand that many people have not had professional photos taken or may not like their pictures being taken.  I spend time during the pre shoot to get to know people's likes and dislikes (for instance their favourite side how or they want to stand with their partner) and importantly what makes them feel comfortable.  I get to know the couples I work with just enough to have fun but always remain professional in my approach.  I recognise that inviting someone to spend the intimate time during your wedding with family and friends requires a great deal of trust and therefore acting with integrity is of the utmost importance to me.

Finally, the most important part for me is planning.  I spend alot of time planning the day, visiting the location and making sure timings are agreed so that we have enough time to capture the images we've agreed.  Your images are returned (edited) within 2 weeks of your wedding for review and are carefully arranged in the order they were taken so that they build your day from preparation to first dance.

I hope that the images here and the explanation here provide an insight into my photography, how I work and importantly, what you can expect from me as your wedding photographer.  Please click on the links below to see what our past couples have to say about our photography in our testimonials section and also to view  our rates and services we offer.
